Family law is an aspect of law that deals with matters relating to the family and domestic relations, the nature of marriage. 

Family law deals with problems that arise during marriage, which may include the exploitation of the spouse, the legality of marriage, adoption, surrogacy, child abuse, child abduction, divorce issues, annulment of the contract, property settlements, Alimony for the wife, child support, visitation. Children and parental responsibilities arrangements. 

This list is not at all a comprehensive list of all possible issues that come to the family court system, but it is the most common and widespread in our Arab society.
